This restaurant sits across from the Holiday Inn in Rock Island. It doesn't have much of a storefront but when you enter, you enter into a restaurant that never left the 70's. The hours are limited, 11-2 M-F. The prices are fair though: 2 egg rolls, pad thai and a soda was $6. The service was somewhat slow but I wasn't in a rush. Service was nice. The food itself was very good, they gave a peanut oil dipping sauce for the egg rolls, which was good. Pad thai was very flavorful. Would definitely go back again. Parking can be found on the street.

This place is decent, but not really anything all that special... the decor is old and worn out... and not in a fun old-school awesome sort of way. The food is alright, lightyears better than all the bullshit corporate and fast food garbage that yer otherwise consigned to in the QCA... but in the context of Thai restaurants at large, it doesn't really have all that much to offer in terms of quality.

I have a real love / hate relationship with Erawan. The first thing I should say is that their food is great. I LOVE their hot and sour soup (best I've ever had, but also different than any other I've ever had). I don't know of too many places in the QC where one can get authentic curry. I would go here all the time, were I able. Why am I not able? Well that conveniently brings me to the things that frustrate me about this place: - First of all, the time you'll sit waiting for your food can be highly variable. It really depends on how many customers they happen to have at the time. I think they must have one cook and usually one (sometimes two, tops) servers. I would be ok with this except for the fact that... - They're only open Mon. - Fri., and only during lunch! I work in Moline, and there have been multiple occasions where I've far exceeded the one hour alloted for my lunch break due to my food taking so long to arrive. I wouldn't mind the wait as much if I could eat dinner here, but instead I've decided I'll only eat here on the rare weekday off. But even then that's sometimes not possible, because... - Sometimes they don't open at all! I only had to make the mistake of driving down there only to find out that they decided not to open that day (and having to eat at the nearby Bennigan's instead) one time. Now I call every time before I go, which often leads me to think "Is all this really worth it?" I'm beginning to lean towards "no." Wish I could give more stars. Maybe I will later if any of the above ever improves.

Pad see ew with floppy, way overcooked noodles. Nothing special about the spring rolls, either. Maybe I'm a snob, but a Thai restaurant that serves chop suey and kung pao chicken? I'll pass.

Dont listen to the haters. Comparing Erawan to Exotic Thai is like comparing an italian meal in Little Italy to dinner at Fazoli's Drive-Thru. Yes they have atrocious service occasionally, but its not like they are rude. They're slow. The food, however is heads above any other Thai in the area, and the Thai Iced Coffee is great too.

The only reason this place is open during the day is so they can run a food cart, filled with fried food, to feed the drunkies when they stumble out of the bars at night. Love the cart; hate the restaurant. The interior is worn down. It seems like it's just going through the motions of being a restaurant.. If you want much better casual Thai food for cheap, head to Thongsy's in Moline.

Nice for a quick cheap lunch. Good food at a low cost. Plus they're in a neat historic building right in downtown. Check out the midnight cart in the district too!

Thank God for Thai in the Quad Cities, although we always alternate between two and more Indian restaurants, my favorite is Le Mekong (vietnamese) and Erawan. Very cutely appointed smallish spot, and although service can sometimes leave a lot to be desired, it's worth it for a relatively well priced Thai fix!

Drive there only take me 12 mins from my office, good distance to have a lunch there. But need to wait not too short time for meal comes out. Cuisine is not bad, actually did a good job. But the noodle was too less, oh I ordered beef noodle btw. As u see I am an Asian girl, so when I say it's too less, it's probably tooooooooo less:)

If you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. Went for lunch. There were four tables with guests and one server. Took service almost 10 minutes to take my order and then another 30 minutes for the food, which was marginal at best, to be prepared and brought to the table. The server was nice but very disorganized. The food was fine but nothing special.

Tried Erawan for the first time today and I was impressed! The sauces were light and flavorful, and the crab rangoons are now my favorite in the QC!

Really enjoyed lunch here today. The pho was great on a chilly day. Nice (small) portions, with likewise small prices. I think the pho was about $4.50 and I almost finished it. An order of very tasty, crispy egg rolls was $1.50. The service was quick though they were not busy at all. Definitely a smaller menu than Lemongrass or Exotic Thai, but very good food. Recommend!

I've been lucky enough to eat a lot of Thai food in my day, and I gotta say that Erawan is one of the least impressive. When I think of Thai food, I think of bold, carefully balanced flavors; what I got at Erawan was pretty bland (but at least they wasn't much to balance!). It took me a few tries before I got to eat here because there hours are so limited, which is another knock. Having said that, boring Thai food still beats McDonalds...

I prefer Erawan over Exotic Thai. I believe this is a family owned business. Everything I've had is good, but their Tom Yum soup is fantastic!
